In the course of arranging your travel, Travelworld collects and records information about you. We retain this information in our secure database and treat this information as strictly confidential. We do not pass this information on to any third party except where it is required by our suppliers for the provision of travel services to you. Where you have provided us with a physical or email address we may from time to time send marketing related messages to that address, however you may opt out of that service at any time.
You may have subscribed to one of Travelworld’s alerts or one of our travel clubs. By doing so you’re providing us with your email address and you accept that we may contact you via email about our products and services. You will always have the opportunity to opt-out of all or any of our future communications – we provide an unsubscribe link on each and every communication – or you can simply send an email here.
We will not provide or sell your email address to any other party and you’ll find our complete Privacy and Security terms here as they apply to the information we store about you.
Information on our websites
We do our very best to make sure the information we present on our site is accurate and correct but from time to time we do make mistakes. When this happens we correct the mistake promptly and try to advise anyone affected immediately. Travel deals and information are fast moving and constantly changing so the “bottom line” is this:
- Any errors are unintentional and may be caused by circumstances briefly beyond our control.
- Travelworld reserves the right to correct errors and to update product information at any time.
- Travelworld does not warrant that the information on this site will always be accurate, complete or current.
Our terms and conditions that apply to the services we provide to you
We are a travel agent and in that capacity we offer for sale to you various products and/or services on behalf of our Principals viz. airlines, other transport operators, hotels and other accommodation providers, tour operators and all other principal suppliers. These are referred to throughout as “the Principal’s”
Our services consist of arranging and co-ordinating the services offered by the Principals. We are instrumental in bringing about a direct contractual relationship between you, the customer, and the Principals.
We undertake to perform our services with reasonable care and skill but we cannot and do not guarantee the performance of the functions offered by the Principals and we will not be liable in the event that you suffer loss, injury or disappointment by reason of any acts or failings of any Principal. In any such case your remedy will lie against the Principal.
All prices are subject to change. Some instances, which may change pricing, are currency fluctuations or changes in airline rulings. Your prices are guaranteed however when full payment has been received.
Our prices may include booking or service fees. Our booking and service fee are displayed on our website.
A NZD200.00 non-refundable deposit is required per traveller. Other operators may also require additional deposits.
All prices are for payment made by cash, eftpos or cheque. If you wish to pay by credit card, please ask your consultant as a fee may apply. If payment is made within 10 working days of departure – we will only accept credit cards, bank cheque, cash or eftpos.
Travelworld reserves the right to pass on any fees incurred in collecting late or overdue payments.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Travel insurance not only covers your health and belongings while you are away but it also covers loss of deposits and cancellation fees. It should be taken out when the booking is made. There are a number of different policies available to suit all travellers to all destinations. Please ask your Travelworld expert.
Frequent Flyer programmes
Please advise us of your membership number if you are a member of any airline frequent flyer/mileage membership programme. Retain your boarding passes and copies of tickets for point verification against your statement in case the airline does not capture your membership data correctly. Without these, you may be unable to claim points.
Cancellation and amendments
With most files, we do not charge to do amendments while developing the bookings to suit your requirements. Once reservations are confirmed, cancellation fees and/or amendment fees will apply. If you do have to cancel your reservations, every effort is made to minimize any fees incurred.
All arrangements are subject to the supplier’s transport /accommodation/tour provider regulations and conditions detailed on tickets, vouchers, travel brochures, at accommodation premises, on transport vehicles, or as advised at the time of booking.
A valid passport is required to travel internationally (some countries insist the validity be for at least six months beyond the dates of your visit.) You are responsible for ensuring your Passport is current and able to be used for travel. If you would like our advice on this we will need to see your passport (just scan or take a photo of it and email the image to us.)
The accuracy of your name on airlines tickets
It is imperative that your name as shown on your airline tickets matches exactly your name as shown in your Passport. If we have not been able to sight your passport and verify this ourselves then we rely entirely on you to check this.
Please check the name on your passport carefully before advising us of name details for your tickets.
Getting this wrong can be serious. Airlines consider it a security risk and will often refuse to carry passengers whose tickets do not match their passports. Re-issuing tickets to fix incorrect names can also be expensive.
You are responsible for all costs incurred if we have to correct the name on your tickets.
Baggage allowances vary depending on the airline you’re flying on and the fare type. Please check with your Travelworld expert for the accurate baggage allowance for your travel plans
We recommend that you confirm your flight with the local airline office at least 3 days prior to scheduled departure. Failure to reconfirm may result in the cancellation of some reservations. At this time, also check reporting and flight departure times.
Visa and documentation responsibilities
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the appropriate documentation including visas. We are happy to assist you to determine visa requirements wherever possible.
Please note that New Zealand passport holders do not require an Australian visa unless they have a criminal record, or have a serious or contagious medical condition (eg Tuberculosis.)
To visit most popular destinations no vaccinations are required. However, for some unique, tropical, or adventure destinations there may be the need for vaccinations. Please check with a Travelworld expert or your Doctor.
